Supporting the inspirational Jungle Crows rugby charity

Nearly 200 of last season's Minis and Youth shirts along with over 100 pairs of shorts were handed back by parents before Christmas and have been donated to the Jungle Crows Foundation. Thanks to generosity of ex-Colt, Will Hawkins, and Castle Clothing in Halesworth we have been able to ship them over to India.

Since 2004 the Jungle Crows has encouraged 1000s of 'street kids' in Kolkata to get involved in rugby. Through rugby they support the youngsters in getting a job, they support a community to build a playground, they encourage children to stay in school. Their successes are measured as much off the pitch as on it - nevertheless the Crows have won numerous leagues and tournaments and many of their players have gone on to play for State and National teams.

The lads in the photo are actually from one of the Crows' outposts in the northern tip of India in the jungle villages of Saraswatipur in West Bengal. These rugby mad villages have also produced numerous male and female national rugby stars.
