Southwold U12 squad travelled to Finborough School to take part in their rugby Festival. Southwold negotiated the pool matches without conceding a try, dispatching Bedford and Langley schools, and Bury rugby club.
This led to a quarter final with Royal Hospital School which Southwold duly won. This set up a tense semi-final with Greshams which was hard-fought and went to the wire, Southwold scoring the winning try in the last few seconds of extra time.
The final against Finborough was one game too many against a very good outfit. Therefore Southwold finished worthy runners-up, and were presented their medals and Runners Up Plate by England and Saracens wing Chris Ashton! A great day for Southwold Minis rugby.
