sharks the master of there own punishment

After 2 weeks inactivity due to cancellations and adverse weather Wold hosted Ipswich on the common looking to exact some revenge for the narrow defeat earlier in the season.
Playing into the teeth of a gale Wold started on the front foot taking the game to Ipswich.
It was Ipswich who drew first blood and following a turnover on the Ipswich 10 metre line they broke through some waffer thin defence to score a try to the left hand side of the post which was converted.
To wolds credit they hit back straight away winning a line out just outside Ipswich' s 22, the ball was moved quickly and some strong running from Harry Simpson saw him score beside the posts , he then converted his own try.
Wold were now in the ascendancy and putting Ipswich under pressure but mistakes an penalties kept Ipswich in the game.
It was from of these mistake that allowed Ipswich to clear up field , desperate scrambled defence slowed up the attack but a clever switch allowed Ipswich to score a second try in the corner which they failed to convert.
Starting the second half with the wind at their backs and six changes to Wolds team it was Ipswich who started as they had finished the first half and it seemed to take wold an age to gain any worthwhile possession and with wold making numerous handling errors and conceding large numbers of penalties they kept giving possession back to Ipswich.
Ipswich's third try came from another turnover and a break from the Ipswich winger was only halted by some fine tackling, the ball was recycled by Ipswich who scored a try in the corner which they failed to convert.
Ipswich were now well on top and only some fine defensive work by both forwards and backs prevented any further scores.
Unfortunately with all the pressure it was only a matter of time before Ipswich scored again and after a series of powerful drives they did so again just to the left hand side of the post which they converted.
With time now running out Wold had their best period of the half and some excellent play between forwards and backs had Ipswich camped In their 22 but unfortunately they couldn't add anymore scores and the referee who had been excellent throughout blew the final whistle condemning wold to a 24-7 defeat.
