North Walsham V Southwold

On a superb morning for rugby Wold travelled to North Walsham looking to put last week's indifferent performance behind them.
They started playing into the wind and it was Walsham who settled first and went ahead though an early penalty for offside by a Wold player.
They then went further ahead with a well worked try after some poor wold tackling, the try was converted leaving wold 10 points down.
This seemed to bring new life into the boys and with a combination of powerful running and fine handling allowed Bruce Bolton to score and Harry Simpson converted.
Wold soon scored again through Harry Simpson which he converted.
As the half drew to a close Wold were rampant and with some powerfully runs by the Wold back line they scored their third try of the half through Louis Mayall.
Unfortunately the gloss was taken of the half by a second Walsham try which they failed to convert and also a yellow card for a Wold player for persistent offside.
The second half began with Wold looking to extend their lead however a second yellow for a Wold player due to obstruction reduced them to thirteen and Walsham took advantage of having the numerical advantage of players .
It was Walsham who scored two converted tries leaving Wold a mountain to climb.
Try as they might they were unable to find a way back into the game and unforced errors, penalties and a referee who enjoyed the use of his whistle a little to much saw Wold struggle to gain enough possession to threaten the Walsham line, with the exception of Harry Simpson who's length of the field break was only stopped on the try line by some superb tackling.
Some great competitive rugby was played by both teams .
The final result saw Walsham run out 29-19 winners.
