Southwold U9s v Lowestoft & Yarmouth U9s & Wymondham U9s

Southwold looking to field a full 9 players for the first time this season were dealt a blow at the outset by Jay and a sick bug!!

First up on a dry bright morning at the L&Y home ground were a Wymondham side that had played against L&Y in their first match. Southwold, playing with their fit 8, started cautiously against a well drilled side. Renee broke the deadlock halfway through the half and was followed up by tries from Charlie & Dylan. The second half saw a tiring Wymondham side struggle to contain an ever more rampant Southwold side. Further success for Renee, Charlie & Dylan were supplemented by tries from Freddie & James.

Next up were the L&Y side victorious in their first game. A robust first half saw both sides tackling hard and recycling ball. Stalemate was broken by Renee with a well worked try from ruck ball. The second half produced further good play from both sides. Southwold set pieces started to work well and significant ground was made by all members of the team. A second half hat trick of tries from Renee and one from Charlie brought a well-deserved win for the black and golds.
