Tony had played to a high standard in Yorkshire until the family relocated to Suffolk. He was a frequent and vocal presence on the touchline for over 40 years, with his two sons (Robert and Paul) playing for Southwold RFC and continuing to follow the team after they retired. Latterly, age and infirmity prevented him from attending, but he was always keen to learn how the team had got on.

Our condolences are with his family and friends. His family has asked that the following funeral details be shared with the Southwold RFC community: The funeral will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, 4th December at All Saints Church, Worlingham and afterwards at the Randolph Hotel, Reydon.
