Another spectacular performance from our U21s in a game that was billed as a close contest. The Ipswich changing room "looked like a St Joseph's reunion" with some renowned stars but fortunately not their Saints players!
I am unable to remember the scorers as my memory is fading and I had too many pops before kick-off....and afterwards! However, there were at least 10 mostly scintillating run-ins from all over the park. Our defence was so emphatic that Ipswich never looked like scoring even when 5 meters out. The back row (current 1st XV back row) were everywhere shutting down their stars. Our front five also made some huge hits to repel any threats.
The game was expertly reffed by a Championship referee ensuring an unquestionably fair contest.
Our thanks to our friends at Ipswich, and especially Mike Hancock, for hosting the match and providing the post match dinner.
Next stop Woodbridge on Saturday 30th December where we will be kicking off at 2.30pm. EVERYONE welcome.
