Tough game for u16 ‘s

The final score was not really a fair reflection of a hard fought game but each player played there part in the game which changed very quickly after a serious injury to Alex the wold hooker. Wymondham scored early when there lively winger went over in the corner. The kick was missed and the game continued, Wymondham attacked and wold defended well until about half an hour and the injury occurred which seemed to distract Wold and Wymondham ran in three quick tries but not converting any. This meant it was
20-0 at halftime. The second half was similar but with wold starting strongly , Wymondham were initially on the back foot, Callum scored first as he managed to wriggle through, Jesse converted and we had 7 points on the board, wold continued to press and a clever kick from Freddie L and a mistake from the Wymondham winger allowed Raife in to score and it was 20-12, but Wymondham woke up again and scored a further 17 points to give them an easy win on paper but in reality Wold tested them. Thank you to Wymondham for the hospitality, they have great facilities and a number of parents and players stayed to watch the Colts game. Captains mom was SamP but every boy should be proud of there performance.
