The game was Southwold for the taking with the forwards in total command, throughout the game winning 90% of the scrums. New to the team fullback Remy Dowe scored the two opening tries. Both came from a quick hands from the scrums and whilst the opposition knew what was coming they did not have the pace to prevent it.
Southwold somehow lost concentration, allowing the home side to score 2 tries in the closing minutes of the half and pulled back 11 points.
Leading 11-16 at the break Southwold were soon back in control and increased their advantage with a sensational effort from winger Alex Casewell. A long clearance by Amy Greogory was caught by Michaela Scarle who spotted Alex Casewell in space out wide outpace three defenders and score.
With 15 minutes remaining however the home side again closed the gap this time through their number 10 breaking the line and again converting. Still ahead leading 22-19, the Swallows piled on the pressure and deservedly grabbed a bonus try when Laura Marjorams made her legendary wing appearance to stormed over the tryline.
