There was a strong wing blowing from one end and the U14s ignored this to claim a great victory in this cup match against Hadleigh.

Not a great start though as Hadleigh scored there only points of game virtually straight from the kick-off. This woke up the U14s and from this point they played some good rugby as they showed strength, skill and determination. Arthur scored the first try as he picked up from a scrum close to the opposition line and ran though. The con was missed In a difficult wind. Next George picked up a loose ball and ran through to score but this time the kick was made and Wold were now 12-7 in front. Arthur then powered through for his second and the kick again was good. Wold were now in complete control and did not look like conceding anymore points.

Half time came and with the wind behind them in the second half Wold pushed for more points, Fred P used his strength and ran through to score and Fred L scored the conversion, the Freds combining to get all 7 points, Joe then powered through to score and Jesse scored the conversion from close to the side line, Fred L`s turn to score a try as he ran through cleverly to touch down and Jesse scored another con from again near to the side line. The final try was scored by George as he took a clever delayed pass from Callum to score between the posts, once again Jesse got the conversion.

Good teamwork and skill showed by the whole squad and everyone contributed. very few missed tackles, good handling and rucking, strong running and great passing were on show and the parents were all enthusiastic about the display afterwards. James was untroubled as a full back but the two pick ups he did make were done well as he ran the ball into the oppositions half. Arthur had another good game as scrum half, Charlie nearly got through a couple of times, Louis was quick into the ruck and showed some clever touches. Sav made a number of strong runs and on another day could scored, Harrison on his return was involved from when he came on and made a good run, Will was in the middle of a lot of the play as always and was good in the scrum, Nathan, Arlo and Ben were totally involved and strong in the scrum, Finney and Jake on the wings were ready if the ball came there way but most of the play was through the centre today, Joe made some good runs and Alex was strong and did what he had to do well. George and Jesse both strong in the tackle and made good runs, Jesse also scored 5 out of 5 conversions. Callum showed good skill to make a try for George and the two Freds both made great runs, showed determination and kept the team going forward.
