Our U14s were back in action on the Common in a fantastic fixture against Mistley.

A huge thank you must go to Mistley for the spirit in which the game was played. With Southwold short on numbers, Mistley kindly lent us players to make sure we could field a side and, most importantly, give all the boys a proper game of rugby.

That is exactly what age-grade rugby should be about — sportsmanship, respect and giving young players the opportunity to play.

On the pitch, both teams played with plenty of attacking intent, with tries at both ends before Southwold eventually gained the upper hand to secure the win.

It was also another important step in the U14s' development, with the boys experiencing conversion kicks and lineouts for the first time this season and putting plenty of their work from training into practice.

? A massive well done to both squads, our coaches and volunteers, and thank you to Norwich and Mistley for two enjoyable fixtures.

And, as always, thank you to all our parents and supporters for creating another brilliant atmosphere on the Common.

? Two teams developing. Two positive performances. One great Sunday of Southwold rugby.
