From the opening whistle, the lads came together brilliantly, showcasing fantastic teamwork and communication. Oscar got the combined side off to a flyer by opening the scoring, followed shortly after by a well-worked try from Morgan. A resilient West Norfolk team pushed hard and managed to cross the line just before the half-time whistle, setting up a competitive second half.

We came out firing after the break. Casey opened the second-half scoring, with Harry B adding the extras on the conversion. Henry L then showed great pace to ground another try before West Norfolk scored their second of the morning with a determined effort.

The lads kept up the tempo, with Casey crossing for his second of the day, closely followed by a superb try from Beau, again cleanly converted by Harry B. Percy capped off a wonderful team performance with the final try of the game, with Harry B making it a hat-trick of successful conversions to bring the final score to 41–12.

A huge congratulations to Beau, who was awarded Player of the Match by our opponents—a fantastic recognition of his performance! (Though a quick word of advice for Beau: next time, do double-check your kit bag before leaving the house—foolishly packing a pillowcase instead of your white shirt for the post-match meal is definitely going to draw a fine from Baz! )

It was a brilliant first outing for the joint team, played in fantastic spirit by both sides. A massive thank you to West Norfolk for traveling down and contributing to such an enjoyable match, and to all the supporters lining the touchline at Beef Meadow today.

There are plenty of positives to take away, as well as a few areas for us to polish at training on Wednesday as we continue to build this exciting partnership.

Up the combined squad!
