History suggests we are in for an absolute cracker. Last season, Southwold and Woodbridge shared two brilliantly competitive games—Woodbridge edged a victory on our home turf, but our Southwold lads bounced back to claim a hard-fought win in the reverse fixture away at Woodbridge. With honours even from last year, this Sunday promises to be another great contest.

Our combined squad enters the fixture buoyed by a fantastic debut performance together, securing an impressive 41–12 win against West Norfolk at Beef Meadow. The teamwork, support, and attacking cohesion on display were top-drawer for our very first run-out as a joint team.

We know Woodbridge will present a tough, well-drilled challenge. With training coming up at Halesworth on Wednesday evening, the squad will be focusing on tidying up a few key areas from our first match. If we can build on that momentum, bring high energy from the opening whistle, and keep our discipline sharp, it promises to be a fantastic game of rugby.

We look forward to giving Woodbridge a warm coastal welcome, played in the true spirit of rugby sportsmanship.

Come down to Southwold this Sunday to pack the touchlines and support the boys as we look to make it two wins from two for the joint squad! ?
