U13's continue an unbeaten run.

Southwold’s weather did it’s best to make this a tough game for the boys with driving rain and a tough cold wind blowing in from the sea. The boys got off to a slow start with Stowmarket coming at us from the start. We defended well and soaked up the pressure; mid way through the first half Archie Wallis got a break and made a run to score our first try which was well converted by Charlie. Stowmarket came straight back at us and the game ebbed and flowed until they got a break through the centre and levelled the score. We responded well from the kick off and put them under as much pressure as we could, Phillip made a break to score a great try, which was again converted well by Charlie. Both teams slowed as the rain came down hard, Hamish got the ball from his own half and made a great run down the length of the pitch to score almost on half time, Charlie again converted a difficult kick.
Stowmarket got the second half off to a great start by coming at us from the kick off and scoring an early try. We soaked up a lot of pressure and the forwards scrummed well in tough conditions. At times our rucking let us down and we came close to giving them another chance to score. We then put together some good passing along the line which left Hamish with some space and he powered through to score again. Charlie once again did a great job at converting another kick.
Stowmarket never gave up and came at us again and managed to find some space to break trough right in the corner to get another well deserved try. We maintained our composure and all the team pulled together, and with one last effort managed to give Phillip a clear run to pop in his second try of the game. This was a great team effort in really tough conditions all the boys played well and left us with a well deserved win 33 -17.
