All the boys had their rugby heads on for this final game,

from the moment the game kicked off both sides were evenly matched, some impressive rucking from both side early on gave each side opportunities. Southwold moved the ball well from one ruck out to Niall on the wing who made a stunning run from the half way line to score, unfortunately Luke picked up an injury from this move (suspected broken arm) so we had to move a few players around. But this was quickly followed by another similar move which again saw Niall make a great run to score, which philipp converted. North Walsham responded and pilled on the pressure, some quick ball saw them run through a gap to score. The game was very evenly matched and opportunities were there for both sides, some quick thinking from a penalty saw Philipp producing a great kick that was followed up by another tap on the run to the try line for him to score Southwolds third try. North Walsham wasted no time from the kick off to show Southwold that they were here to play rugby, some great ball work and excellent forward work saw them break through again to score in the corner. Half time score was North Walsham 10 : Southwold 17.

North Walsham came out looking to get a quick score, we defended well and some good work from the forwards gave Niall his third opportunity to get to the try line and score. Both teams scrummed well a break from one by Hamish gave James an opening to make a great run down the wing to score, which Philipp converted. From the kick we moved the ball out quickly Edward ran through and slipped the ball to Louie who broke through and came within meters of the line but some excellent tackling stopped him in his tracks. NW moved the ball out quickly and caught us napping, the ball quickly got to their winger who broke through to score an excellent try. Both sides were now feeling tired but our forwards kept at it and Louie again broke through but was stopped a few yards short by a stunning tackle. Southwold pilled on the pressure and Hamish made a great run through from a scrum to score. Again from the kick off Southwold pressed up and another kick from Phillip saw him run on to snatch the ball and score his second in the closing minutes of the game.

North Walsham played a very physical game of rugby. Both teams played in Great Spirit and special thanks go to our hosts North Walsham for their hospitality on the day.

Trys: Niall 3, Philipp 2, Hamish 1, James 1. Conversions: Philipp 2.

A great season for the boys and special thanks were given to the coaches, Des, Roy, Steve and Rob for all their dedication, support and encouragement over the season.
