U13's Southwold V Stowmarket.

Southwold got off to a slow start and were under pressure from the kickoff. The weather was dreadful, driving rain made the ball difficult to keep hold of. One of Stowmarket’s forwards made a strong run and was within 5 yards of the touch line before he was brought down. Southwold slowly got into gear and applied good pressure, they eventually broke through to score there first try and conversion. The pressure was maintained with the forwards doing some good work, and another two quick try’s and conversions followed for Southwold.
Half time came and went,Stowmarket kept the pressure on and continued to dominate the scrum. Southwold didn’t give Stowmarket any space to run and tackled hard. After some good rucking Southwold broke through to score again, this was followed by some great running and support play which lead to another two try’s and conversions.
The game then took a turn and Stowmarket forced Southwold to defend hard, suddenly the ball broke free and Philip kicked the ball into open space and ran half the length of the pitch controlling the ball to the try line to score again for Southwold. Following the conversion Southwold controlled the ball well and again after some great running from the backs broke through to score and convert again.
In the final minutes Stowmarket made a great run and stretched our defence in the dying seconds of the game they snatched a well deserved try.
