Spirits were high pre-match and with the game being a 12 a side match the boys were confident of performing well. This was certainly the case and in the first 20 minutes took the game from Stowmarket and were playing running, flowing, rugby.
Stowmarket were first to score through their big powerful forwards. Southwold didn't lose heart and continued to play good rugby.
This was rewarded with a well worked try for Harry Collins after good work from the backs. As the game wore on tackling the bigger Stowmarket players took its toll and the boys eventually run out of steam resulting in a flurry of tries at the end, not really reflecting the game.
All of the boys played so well and it was a vast improvement on previous performances and I think they found that rugby can be enjoyable and a lot easier when working as a team.
