U9's Win at North Walsham Festival

13 Southwold U9’s travelled to North Walsham. Played four and Won four. A good spread of try’s from over half the squad. Practiced moves Attack and Defensive where put to test with some great set ball enabling us to gather ourselves when under pressure and moved the ball across the pitch and use our lightning runners on the wings. Tackles where plenty resulting in several turnover balls.

Game 1 – North Walsham 4- 1
Trys from Ben C, Joshua, Oscar and Ethan
Being up quickly certainly paid off on this game dampening their attack before they got pace.

Game 2 – Lowestoft and Norwich Mix 5 -1
Trys – Josh, Mungo Oscar Harry and Cripsy ( nice to see Cripsey get his first)
Easier Game but we still let one slip through – Huddled together as some were just trying to score on their own

Game 3 – Holt 4 – 2 ( I think)
Bigger team, and they got their positioning sorted from when we played them at home. They had a couple that needed two if not three to get them down. We held our own and even in the second half we prevented them scoring too many

Game 4 – Swaffham 3- 2
Strong side and some big players that put some hard tackles in. Ben C taking the biggest brunt off one of them with a big knock to upper body landing hard on the ball with not a lot of wind in his sails to continue and had to go off for the last play.
