A cancelled fixture led to a last minute invitation to play at Stowmarket. Southwold U9s have had a memorable and thrilling start to the season and today proved to be another example of just how good this group of young players have all taken to the game of contact.

Arriving in the heart of Suffolk on what was a beautiful October Sunday morning looking totally up for the game - no doubt England’s amazing victory over New Zealand had inspired Southwold’s own team of ‘Rising Sons’.

Highlights of the games played included Tom B’s relentless tackles, Luca’s skilful side steps and weaves, Harry’s brilliant drives forward and excellent passing, Hugo’s commitment and determination to find the try line, Jensen’s strength and hard fought tries, Jack W’s commitment, Thomas’ important pick ups, Fraser’s support and Jack D’s powerful tackling. In spite of a few injuries Southwold U9s showed brilliant resilience and bravery. Try scorers included, Tom B, Luca, Harry, Hugo, Jensen and Jack D.

Southwold U9s are growing in confidence and showcasing exciting rugby week after week.
