Hello everyone again report number 2 The Bury St Edmunds Festival lets start with our first match of the day, its seeems we only ever draw with them now.

Southwold 5 v 5 Bury Wolves .....Anton on the break from half way line all of his own work.

2nd match Southwold 5 v 10 Shelford..... Ben N after a line out, ben went on one of his burst of speed from our own try line no one could catch him. But straight from restart they spotted a hole in our line and scored to win the match just as we had got ourselves level. then the ref blew for full time.. unlucky (Shelford got to the final)

3rd match Southwold 20 v 5 St Neots.... Anton x 2 Ben N x 2.... Our boys finally woke up and started to play as a team, with 90 % of the match spent in the St Neots half. All the tries were scored with good passing and nice little runs and last minute passes. Josh was the main man in this match with some impessive runs and great tackling...

4th match Southwold 0 v 0 Woodbridge..

Well it was time to meet Woodbridge again, who beat us in the Woodbridge Festival the week before.. I reminded the boys of this and it seemed to gee them all on. for the first couple of minutes its was all Woodbridge then it was our turn (well rest of the match really). we pegged them back and roughed housed them up like they had done to us the week before with Anton and Christain giving them as good as the gave us. Riley and Josh tackling like they life depended on it anytime Woodbridge got the ball. Harry H and Harry N, Noah and Sam all held they own with some great movements and back up play. Twice we nearly won it at the end once with Ben his foot just going out of play as he scored, then Riley, Riley and Anton together won the ball from a line out right on their try line from Woodbridge. but the ref reckoned it was a knock on, but Riley and Anton said it was right out of the Woodbridge players hands and then Riley went down with the ball .???? i didnt see anything wrong..

So it was Third in our group this time.. still not bad when we only had 9 players. with rest of the team either on holiday/sick or just couldn't make it. And 3 of the 9 only been doing it for 3/4 weeks and Riley who shouldn't have even been there as had been ill all weekend and was rather sick on way up there. (But he had to go as we had the kit bag as COACH MARK was away, so special thanks to BRUCE COLEMAN for his coaching of the boys this week.) All other teams in our group had 12 to 20. The Woodbridge match was the best drawn match with the parents from the other teams watching on, its was that damn good so congrats to both teams for putting on a show. We also got some praise from parents and coaches from Bury and (who were next to us and behind us)Ipswich who were in the other group saying how good our team were. nice.. next time hopefully..
